MFit truly has the best members, two of whom have inspired me to present this idea to the rest of my members.
These two members, because they were traveling in September and also having to quarantine, were not able to utilize their membership for 3 weeks. They did not want to see these sessions go to waste and had the idea to gift them to friends who would be able to use them the weeks they will be gone.
The original member does nothing except tell me who gets the benefits of their membership. Then the friend gets a credit of the total number of sessions that the member would have had during that time frame. The friend gets the credit in the form of a “class pass”, with the expiration date set when original member returns to the gym.
The friends who can benefit from this can be anyone! A spouse, a child, a co-worker.... all they will need is a signed liability waiver which I can provide to them once you let me know how to contact them :)
Contact Stephanie (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are a current member and would like to Pay It Forward.

Metrick Fitness is a proud supporter of Pike Township schools and students. Mike and Stephanie are raising their three kids in Pike schools and they encourage members to also support the local school system. One way you can do this is by making donations to the Pike Red Zone Food Pantry.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity within Pike Township has increased dramatically and financial support is needed now more than ever. You can make a contribution to the Pike Red Zone Food Pantry using this link to the Pike Township Educational Foundation website.
Another effect of the pandemic and job loss has also had an effect on our students' abilities to pay for their necessary supplies for school. Pike Township schools has a fantastic career center that prepares students for careers in various service industries. However, if the students do not have the proper supplies, they have to withdraw from these important classes and career opportunities. You can find out more information below:
The death of George Floyd has brought the nation's racist policies and history front and center, yet again, and hopefully this time as a nation we can get it right.
One way to help this progress is to support the Boston Center for Antiracist Research, which examines our current national policies and researches ways to correct the injustices which have been woven into them over the centuries.
